- Check that your destination really requires a 50KB cap; use a larger allowance when permitted.
- Select your image and keep Under 50KB selected. Convert to create a separately measured JPG.
- Inspect faces, small lettering, and edges at the intended display size. Confirm both the byte count and final dimensions.
50KB is a tight budget. A busy full-resolution photo may shrink substantially, and text or fine edges may become hard to read. Keep the original; meeting the cap does not make the result suitable for every use.
A few useful answers
Is 50KB suitable for a full-page scan?
Not reliably. Small text can become unreadable when a detailed image is squeezed this far. If readability fails, use a larger permitted cap or ask the recipient for another accepted submission method.
Will lowering the quality always be enough?
No. The converter may also shrink pixel dimensions. This tool does not crop away unwanted content, so it cannot use cropping to meet a cap.
Is the file exactly 50KB?
No. Successful output is strictly below 50,000 bytes, measured individually. A smaller result is not padded, and an unreachable cap produces an error rather than a false success.
Can I use a logo with transparency?
JPG flattens transparency onto white and can blur sharp edges. WebP can retain transparency with a cap if your destination supports it; PNG disables the cap.
What are the file limits?
Up to 20 files, 25MB each, 100MB combined, and 24 megapixels per image. Some devices may need smaller batches. If a photo is too large, export a smaller copy first.
