A 200KB allowance is twice the byte budget of 100KB, but not a promise of twice the quality. The converter may lower quality and dimensions; a file can pass the byte check while failing a form’s separate dimension or content requirements.
A few useful answers
Is 200KB a passport or application-photo standard?
No. Use this preset only when your particular destination specifies that cap. It does not check framing, background, minimum dimensions, or eligibility rules.
Why does the result have fewer pixels?
When lowering encoding quality is not enough, the shared converter reduces dimensions. Compare the displayed dimensions with your form’s minimum before submitting.
What does under limit mean?
The actual output must be strictly below 200,000 bytes. The tool does not pad a smaller file to exactly 200KB or mark an oversized result successful. The cap is per image, not per ZIP.
Can I keep a transparent background?
Default JPG output makes transparent pixels white. Choose WebP if your destination accepts it and you need transparency with a cap. PNG disables the cap.
What are the file limits?
Up to 20 files, 25MB each, 100MB combined, and 24 megapixels per image. Some devices may need smaller batches. If a photo is too large, export a smaller copy first.
