This rebuilds the image from pixels and omits all source metadata; it does not scan for GPS or selectively delete only location tags. Signs, faces, addresses, and recognizable places remain visible. No location-removal tool can promise anonymity.
A few useful answers
Does this tell me whether my original contains GPS?
No. The tool does not inspect or display GPS coordinates. It creates a new image without copying source GPS, EXIF, dates, or comments, whether or not they were present.
What else changes?
JPG output is re-encoded, may lose quality, and flattens transparency onto white. PNG avoids another lossy encoding step but can be larger. HDR and wide-color appearance may change.
Why use a generic filename?
A filename can contain a person's name or address even after metadata is removed. This preset names downloads photo.jpg, photo-2.jpg, and so on instead of carrying over the original name.
What are the file limits?
Up to 20 files, 25MB each, 100MB combined, and 24 megapixels per image. Some devices may need smaller batches. If a photo is too large, export a smaller copy first.
