WebP output here uses lossy color compression, so small text and sharp edges may change. Transparency is preserved by the supported native encoder or the local fallback. A smaller file is not guaranteed. Animated PNG files are rejected.

Does WebP keep PNG transparency?
Yes, the encoder keeps transparent and partly transparent pixels. It does not flatten the background like JPG output does. Check that your destination accepts WebP.
Is this lossless WebP conversion?
No. This workflow uses quality-controlled WebP encoding. Even at the highest setting, do not assume the color pixels match the PNG exactly. Keep the PNG when exact pixel values matter.
Does it work in Safari?
If the browser cannot create WebP natively, a small encoder loads from this site and runs on your device. Your images are not uploaded to a conversion server.
What are the file limits?
Up to 20 files, 25MB each, 100MB combined, and 24 megapixels per image. Some devices may need smaller batches. If a photo is too large, export a smaller copy first.
